Using SMC relocation microcode patch or USB-SOF microcode patch will disable DPRAM memory from 0x2000 to 0x2400 and from 0x2f00 to 0x3000. At the time being, init RAM is setup to use 0x2800-0x2e00, but the stack pointer goes beyond 0x2800 and even beyond 0x2400. For the time being we are not going to use any microcode patch that uses memory about 0x3000, so reorganise setup to use: - 0x2800 - 0x2e00 for init malloc and global data and CPM buffers - 0x3000 - 0x3c00 for init stack For more details about CPM dual port ram, see commit b1d62424cb ("powerpc: mpc8xx: redistribute data in CPM dpram") Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy

powerpc/mpc8xx: Zero boot_flags arg for calling board_init_f()

Copied from e83a7e94532 ("powerpc/mpc83xx: Zero boot_flags arg for calling board_init_f()") The argument boot_flags of board_init_f() is not used at all in the powerpc specific board.c init sequence. Now with the generic init sequence, this boot_flags arg is used by board_init_f(). This patch sets the r3 register that is used to pass the boot_flags argument from the start.S board_init_f() call to 0 prior to the function call to avoid unknown content to end up in gd->flags. global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_* to CFG_SYS_*

powerpc: Drop version_string placement optimization

As explained by Wolfgang, historically PowerPC would do a number of things to hand-optimize placement of the binary on NOR flash in order to maximize utilization of very scarce resources. These days, we simply aren't optimizing our binary layout for NOR flash placement and it's quite likely this wasn't working as intended. Furthermore, this level of optimization makes it difficult to have version_string be a global, instead of a weak and overridden value, and so make more progress on reproducible builds, which is a current concern. Move to having PowerPC no longer store version_string in the early part of text so that it might be part of the first page of NOR and instead use the same declaration everyone else does. SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini
