The setexpr.s command allows to concatenate two strings.

According to the description in doc/usage/cmd/setexpr.rst the parameters
value1 and value2 can be either direct values or pointers to a
memory location holding the values.

Unfortunately `setexpr.s <value1> + <value2>` fails if any of the values
is a direct value. $? is set to false.

* Add support for direct values in setexpr.s.
* Correct the unit test for "setexpr.s fred 0".
* Add a new unit test for "setexpr.s fred '1' + '3'" giving '13'.

When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay
Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and
so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master.

This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing
changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35.

cmd: setexpr: fix no matching string in gsub return empty value

In gsub, when the destination string is empty, the string 't' is
provided and the regular expression doesn't match, then the final result
is an empty string.

Example:

=> echo ${foo}

=> setenv foo
=> setexpr foo gsub e a bar
=> echo ${foo}

=>

The variable ${foo} should contain "bar" and the lack of match shouldn't
be considered an error.

This patch fixes the erroneous behavior by removing the return
statement and breaking out of the loop in case of lack of match.

Also add a test for the no match case.

Neither successful match nor lack thereof should be considered an

It is a pain to have to specify the value 16 in each call. Add a new
hextoul() function and update the code to use it.

Add a proper comment to simple_strtoul() while we are here.

Add format string handling operator to the setexpr command.
It allows to use C or Bash like format string expressions to be
evaluated with the result being stored inside the environment variable
name.

 setexpr <name> fmt <format> [value]...

The following example

 setexpr foo fmt "%d, 0x%x" 0x100 ff

will result in $foo being set to "256, 0xff".
