Currently uclass index is shown in DM tree dump which ignores alias sequence numbering. The result could be confusing since these 2 numbers could be different. Show device sequence number instead as it's more meaningful. Also update documentation to use sequence number. When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. The output from "dm tree" or "dm uclass" is a bit annoying if the number of devices available on the system is huge. (This is especially true on sandbox when I debug some DM code.) With this patch, we can specify the uclass name or the device name that we are interested in in order to limit the output. This command shows the memory used by driver model along with various hints as to what it might be if some 'core' tags were moved to use the tag list instead of a core (i.e. always-there) pointer. This may help with future work to reduce memory usage. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
This command converts pointers to addresses, but the pointers being converted are in the image's rodata region. For sandbox this means it is not in DRAM so it does not make sense to do this conversion. Fix this by showing a simple pointer instead. Drop the unnecessary @ and hex prefixes.
