When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. mmc: erase: Use TRIM erase when available

The default erase command applies on erase group unit, and simply round down to erase group size. When the start block is not aligned to erase group size (e.g. erasing partition) it causes unwanted erasing of the previous blocks, part of the same erase group (e.g. owned by other logical partition, or by the partition table itself). To prevent this issue, a simple solution is to use TRIM as argument of the Erase command, which is usually supported with eMMC > 4.0, and allow to apply erase operation to write blocks instead of erase group Signed-off-by: Loic Poulain Reviewed-by: Simon Glass

blk: Switch over to using uclass IDs

We currently have an if_type (interface type) and a uclass id. These are closely related and we don't need to have both. Drop the if_type values and use the uclass ones instead. Fix the end address in the message for unaligned erase request in mmc_berase() when start + blkcnt is aligned to erase_grp_size. for example: - start = 0x2000 - 26 - count = 26 - erase_grp_size = 0x400 Caution! Your devices Erase group is 0x400 The erase range would be change to 0x2000~0x27ff But no issue when the end address is not aligned, for example - start = 0x2000 - 2 * 26 - count = 26 - erase_grp_size = 0x400 Caution! dm: treewide: Rename 'platdata' variables to just 'plat'

mmc: Rename timeout parameters for clarification

It's quite hard to figure out time units for various function that have timeout parameters. This leads to possible errors when one forgets to convert ms to us, for example. Let's rename those parameters correspondingly to 'timeout_us' and 'timeout_ms' to prevent such issues further. While at it, add time units info as comments to struct mmc fields. mmc: add mmc_poll_for_busy() and change the purpose of mmc_send_status()

mmc_send_status() is currently used to poll the card until it is ready, not actually returning the status of the card. Make it return the status and add another function to poll the card.
