So far the console API uses the following naming convention: ======Extract====== typedef struct device_t; int device_register (device_t * dev); int devices_init (void); int device_deregister(char *devname); struct list_head* device_get_list(void); device_t* device_get_by_name(char* name); device_t* device_clone(device_t *dev); ======= which is too generic and confusing. Instead of using device_XX and device_t we change this into stdio_XX and stdio_dev This will also allow to add later a generic device mechanism in order to have support for multiple devices and driver instances. Zoom2 serial is in general supplied by one of the 4 UARTS on the debug board. The default serial is from the USB connector on left side of the debug board. The USB connector will produce 2 of the 4 UARTS. On your host pick the first enumeration. The details of the setting of the serial gpmc setup are not available. The values were provided by another party. The serial port set up is the same with Zoom1. Baud rate 115200, 8 bit data, no parity, 1 stop bit, no flow. This patch will create a configuration option for a minimum configuration for the ns16550 serial driver at drivers/serial/ns16550.c and will apply this new configuration option to the SIMPC8313.h config file in order to fix the NAND bootstrap build error. This option will exclude all functions with exception of NS16550_putc and NS16550_init. This will be used primarily to save space and remove unused code from builds in which space is limited. V3: Fixed line-wrap problem due to user error in mail! Added usb_configured() checks in usbtty_puts() and usbtty_putc() to get around a hang when usb is not connected and the user has set up multi-io (setenv stdout serial,usbtty etc). Several source files need to be compiled and linked when one or more config options are selected. To allow for easy selection in the Makefiles yet to avoild multiple compilation (which costs build time) and especially multiple linking (which causes errors), we use "COBJS = $(sort COBJS-y)" which eliminates duplicates.
