2023-08-09Kconfigs: Correct default of "0" on hex type entriesTom Rini
It is not a parse error to have a default value of "0" for a "hex" type entry, instead of "0x0". However, "0" and "0x0" are not treated the same even by the tools themselves. Correct this by changing the default value from "0" to "0x0" for all hex type questions that had the incorrect default. Fix one instance (in two configs) of a default of "0" being used on a hex question to be "0x0". Remove the cases where a defconfig had set a value of "0x0" to be used as the default had been "0". 2023-05-05powerpc: mpc8xx: Add SMC relocation CPM microcodeChristophe Leroy
In order to use QMC mode in the CPM, a SCC requires more space in parameter RAM. After SCC1 there is I2C parameter RAM and after SCC2 there is SPI parameter RAM. MPC866 and MPC885 can already relocate I2C and. SPI parameter RAM. But in order to free space after SCC3 and SCC4, SMC1 and SMC2 need to be relocated. In order to do so, a CPM microcode patch is required. Binary data for that patch is copied from Linux kernel. Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy <[email protected]>
2023-05-05powerpc: mpc885: Add CPM USB-SOF microcode for CPM15 ERRATAChristophe Leroy
MPC885 CPU has the following ERRATA: When the USB controller is configured in Host mode, and the SOF generation (SFTE=1 in USMOD register) is being used, there may be false CRC error indication in other SCCs. Although the data is received correctly, the CRC result will be corrupted. Add capability to load the related microcode to fix it. The microcode binary data is copied from Linux kernel. Other microcode will be added in following patch so make it a Kconfig choice. Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy <[email protected]>
2023-04-06watchdog: mpc8xxx: Make it genericChristophe Leroy
mpc8xx, mpc83xx and mpc86xx have similar watchdog with almost same memory registers. Refactor the driver to get the register addresses from the device tree and use the compatible to know the prescale factor. Calculate the watchdog setup value from the provided timeout. Don't declare it anymore as an HW_WATCHDOG, u-boot will start servicing the watchdog early enough. On mpc8xx the watchdog configuration register is also used for configuring the bus monitor. So add it as an option to the watchdog when it is mpc8xx. When watchdog is not selected, leave the configuration of the initial SYPCR from Kconfig. Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy <[email protected]>
2023-04-05powerpc: mpc8xx: Migrate to CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQChristophe Leroy
8xx has CONFIG_8xx_GCLK_FREQ which is similar to CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ, and doesn't set CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ. Due to that, get_board_sys_clk() returns 0. Remove CONFIG_8xx_GCLK_FREQ and use CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ instead. Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy <[email protected]>
2023-02-11board: cssi: Add new board MCR3000_2GChristophe Leroy
This adds a new board from CS GROUP. The board is called MCR3000_2G, and has a CPU board called CMPC885. That CPU board is shared with another equipment that will be added in a later patch. That board stores Ethernet MAC addresses in an EEPROM which is accessed using SPI bus. This patch was originally written by Charles Frey who's email address is not valid anymore as he left the company. 2021-12-27Convert CONFIG_SYS_IMMR to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_IMMR We do this by consolidating the SYS_IMMR options we have and providing defaults. We also, in the few places where M68K was also sharing code with these platforms, define it within the file to CONFIG_SYS_MBAR to match usage. This should be cleaned up longer term. 2021-12-01Convert CONFIG_SYS_BR0_PRELIM et al to KconfigTom Rini

Add the relevant SYS_BRx_PRELIM_BOOL to platforms that had not been previously migrated. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2021-08-31Finish converting CONFIG_SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE to KconfigTom Rini
We move the SYS_CACHE_SHIFT_N options from arch/arm/Kconfig to arch/Kconfig, and introduce SYS_CACHE_SHIFT_4 to provide a size of 16. Introduce select statements for other architectures based on current usage. For MIPS, we take the existing arch-specific symbol and migrate to the generic symbol. This lets us remove a little bit of otherwise unused code. 2020-02-28watchdog: mpc8xx: Revert the 8xx watchdog back to CONFIG_HW_WATCHDOGChristophe Leroy
Commit f3729ba6e7b2 ("watchdog: mpc8xx_wdt: Watchdog driver and macros cleanup") switched the watchdog to CONFIG_WATCHDOG. But this is not compatible with the 8xx because it starts the watchdog HW timer at reset and must be serviced from the very beginning including while U-boot is executed in the firmware before relocation in RAM. Select CONFIG_HW_WATCHDOG and make hw_watchdog_reset() visible. Meanwhile, finalise the cleanup of arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/Kconfig by removing the lines put in comment in that commit, and also remove again the selection of CONFIG_MPC8xx_WATCHDOG which was removed by that commit and brought back by mistake by commit b3134ffbd944 ("watchdog: Kconfig: Sort entry alphabetically") Note that there was an 'imply WATCHDOG' in the original commit but it disappeared in the Kconfig alphabetical sorting, so no need to remove it here. 2017-07-08powerpc: Partialy restore core of mpc8xxChristophe Leroy
CS Systemes d'Information (CSSI) manufactures 8xx boards for critical communication systems. Those boards have been running U-Boot since 2010 and will have to be maintained until at least 2027. commit 5b8e76c35ec312a3f73126bd1a2d2c0965b98a9f ("powerpc, 8xx: remove support for 8xx") orphaned those boards by removing support for the mpc8xx CPU. This commit partially restores support for the 8xx, with the following limitations: - Restores support for MPC866 and MPC885 only - Does not restore IDE, PCMCIA, I2C, USB - Does not restore examples - Does not restore POST - Does not restore Ethernet on SCC - Does not restore console on SCC - Does not restore bedbug and kgdb support As the 866 and 885 do not support the following features, they are not restored either: - VIDEO / LCD - RTC clock The CPM uCODE patch is not restored either, because: - 866 and 885 already have support for I2C and SPI relocation without a uCODE patch - relocation of SMC, I2C or SPI is only needed for using SCCs for Ethernet or QMC The dynamic setup/calculation of clocks is removed, we expect the target being use with the clock and PLPRCR register defined in the configuration. All the clock settings for 8xx prior to 866 is removed as well as we now only support 866 and 885. This code is mature and addresses mature boards. Therefore all code enclosed in '#if 0/#endif' and '#if XX_DEBUG/#endif' is unneeded. The following files are not restored by this patch: - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/bedbug_860.c - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/fec.h - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/kgdb.S - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/plprcr_write.S - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/scc.c - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/upatch.c - arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc8xx/video.c - arch/powerpc/include/asm/status_led.h - arch/powerpc/lib/ide.c - arch/powerpc/lib/ide.h - doc/README.MPC866 - drivers/pcmcia/mpc8xx_pcmcia.c - drivers/rtc/mpc8xx.c - drivers/usb/gadget/mpc8xx_udc.c - drivers/video/mpc8xx_lcd.c - examples/standalone/test_burst.c - examples/standalone/test_burst.h - examples/standalone/test_burst_lib.S - examples/standalone/timer.c - include/mpc823_lcd.h - include/usb/mpc8xx_udc.h - post/cpu/mpc8xx/Makefile - post/cpu/mpc8xx/cache.c - post/cpu/mpc8xx/cache_8xx.S - post/cpu/mpc8xx/ether.c - post/cpu/mpc8xx/spr.c - post/cpu/mpc8xx/uart.c - post/cpu/mpc8xx/usb.c - post/cpu/mpc8xx/watchdog.c Some of the restored files are not located in a proper location. In order to keep traceability of the changes, they will be moved to their correct location and moved to Kconfig in a followup patch. This patch also declares CSSI as point of contact for the update of the 8xx platform, as those boards are the only ones still being maintained on the 8xx area. A later patch will add those boards to the tree. Signed-off-by: Christophe Leroy <[email protected]>

2014-07-30kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
