Add support for imx6ulz_smm_m2d, based on the M2 architecture. Signed-off-by: Andrea Calabrese <[email protected]>
2025-11-04bsh: imx6ulz_smm_m2: Update imx6ulz BSH SMM M2B boardAndrea Calabrese
Improve support for the BSH SystemMaster (SMM) M2B board. In particular, this patch adds the timing for the 512 MB version, and the spi.c reflects it by removing the safe guards. Signed-off-by: Andrea Calabrese <[email protected]>

2025-07-24treewide: Remove empty board_init() function from all boardsSam Protsenko
Commit 86acdce2ba88 ("common: add config for board_init() call") introduced CONFIG_BOARD_INIT option. This option can be disabled for the boards where board_init() function is not needed. Remove empty board_init() calls for all boards where it's possible, and disable CONFIG_BOARD_INIT in all related defconfigs. This cleanup was made semi-automatically using these scripts: [1]. No functional change, but the binary size for the modified boards is reduced a bit. 2025-05-31bsh: imx6ulz_smm_m2: Add imx6ulz BSH SMM M2B boardMichael Trimarchi
Introduce the BSH SystemMaster (SMM) M2B board. Notably, the M2B is designed to leverage the existing device tree of its predecessor, the M2. The primary distinction arises from memory incompatibilities with the M2. To address this, we've implemented a configuration system that allows for selective inclusion of the desired memory components. Signed-off-by: Michael Trimarchi <[email protected]>
2025-05-21board: bsh: imx6ulz_smm_m2: Add delay between DRAM read accessMichael Bode
A small delay between DRAM read access with wrong parameters and reconfiguration is necessary. Without a delay between DRAM read access and a following reconfiguration this reconfiguration fails for certain DRAM chips (Nanya). 2025-05-21board: bsh: imx6ulz_smm_m2: Match SPL DDR settings to DCD tableMichael Trimarchi
When using SPL on i.mx6 we frequently notice some DDR initialization mismatches between the SPL code and the non-SPL code. As the non-SPL code have been tested for long time and proves to be reliable, let's configure the DDR in the exact same way as the non-SPL case. The idea is simple: just use the DCD table and write directly to the DDR registers. Signed-off-by: Michael Trimarchi <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Dario Binacchi <[email protected]>

2023-08-09treewide: rework linker symbol declarations in sections headerShiji Yang
1. Convert all linker symbols to char[] type so that we can get the corresponding address by calling array name 'var' or its address '&var'. In this way, we can avoid some potential issues[1]. 2. Remove unused symbol '_TEXT_BASE'. It has been abandoned and has not been referenced by any source code. 3. Move '__data_end' to the arch x86's own sections header as it's only used by x86 arch. 4. Remove some duplicate declared linker symbols. Now we use the standard header file to declare them. [1] This patch fixes the boot failure on MIPS target.
