With the migration to DM_SERIAL in commit 191b10ac70d7 ("PowerPC / Layerscape: Finish migration to DM_SERIAL") a number of platforms were incorrectly migrated and did not enable SYS_NS16550 despite previously having enabled the non-DM NS16650 serial driver. Enable these now. 2025-05-30PowerPC / Layerscape: Finish migration to DM_SERIALTom Rini
Migrate the few ARM Layerscape platforms that had not been switched along with all remaining PowerPC platforms to DM_SERIAL. For PowerPC, this means that platforms which use SPL/TPL, keeping the non-DM serial driver enabled there as they do not use DM. 2024-01-22mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menuTom Rini
The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but need it now, do so. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. 2022-03-31powerpc: Fix incorrect SYS_IMMR migration valuesTom Rini
When migrating SYS_IMMR, I didn't allow for boards to provide non-default values here. This lead to an incorrect migration on the platforms where CONFIG_SYS_IMMR is set to CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR and CONFIG_SYS_CSSRBAR is NOT the same as CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_DEFAULT. Add text to the prompt so that non-default values can be used and re-migrate the platforms that have CONFIG_SYS_IMMR=CONFIG_SYS_CSSRBAR where CONFIG_SYS_CSSRBAR != CONFIG_SYS_CCSRBAR_DEFAULT. 2021-12-27Finish conversion of CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to KconfigTom Rini
In order to finish moving this symbol to Kconfig for all platforms, we need to do a few more things. First, for all platforms that define this to a function, introduce CONFIG_DYNAMIC_SYS_CLK_FREQ, similar to CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DDR_CLK_FREQ and populate clock_legacy.h. This entails also switching all users from CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to get_board_sys_clk() and updating a few preprocessor tests. With that done, all platforms that define a value here can be converted to Kconfig, and a fall-back of zero is sufficiently safe to use (and what is used today in cases where code may or may not have this available). - In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so. - On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define to 0. - Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR. - Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it. - Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT - On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location. - On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default. - Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within ENV_IS_IN_FLASH. - Migrate all platforms.
