This series from Andrew Davis <[email protected]> makes a number of the TI K3
CONFIG symbols have consistent values in SPL, as they are things
determined by the SoC and not the board design.

These are common for all K3 based boards. Add the common values as
defaults and remove from each board defconfig

The DA8xx GPIO driver was not being built as part of the A53 U-Boot
image on AM64x and AM65x. This meant only i2c GPIO expanders were
accessible to the users from the U-Boot prompt.
This patch fixes it by setting CONFIG_DA8XX_GPIO.

Commit 86acdce2ba88 ("common: add config for board_init() call")
introduced CONFIG_BOARD_INIT option. This option can be disabled for the
boards where board_init() function is not needed. Remove empty
board_init() calls for all boards where it's possible, and disable
CONFIG_BOARD_INIT in all related defconfigs.
This cleanup was made semi-automatically using these scripts: [1].
No functional change, but the binary size for the modified boards is
reduced a bit.

Retain the ENV_MMC_ prefix to make it easier to search for all the

This patch series fixes MMC_HS_52 mode in am654_sdhci driver,

Add TI_COMMON_CMD_OPTIONS config options to Sitara K3 boards at
a53 stage since we rely on most of the commands implied for testing

SPL_TEXT_BASE is used as the load address for the main domain SPL on k3
platforms.
Since the config value is the same for every board, this patch sets the
value 0x80080000 as default for all 64-bit ARCH_K3, 0x43c00000 as
default for the R5 cores and deletes the instances of SPL_TEXT_BASE in
individual defconfigs.

Some K3 devices like am62x and am64x have a M4 processor in the MCU
voltage domain. This patch series introduces remoteproc M4 driver which
will be used to load firmware into and start the M4 remote core.
This series also adds support for R5F cores on am64x SoCs in patch 2 and
sets up environment to load FW in remote cores in patch 3,4,5.
This patch series also enables remoteproc drivers by default as per what
remoteproc sybsystem is supported per SoC, thus all remoteproc options
are now deleted in configs/* since they are no longer required.
This patch series was tested on am64x EVM, am62x SK, am62ax SK,
am62px SK boards.
Any additional tested by's are welcome since I was not able to
test any additional boards.
Tested by running the following commands in u-boot prompt:
=> setenv dorprocboot 1
=> run boot_rprocs

Make the raw-mode options depend on SPL_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE in a more
direct way. This makes it easier to understand the options with
'make menuconfig'.
There are three different ways of specifying the offset:
- sector offset
- partition number
- partition type
So make these a choice, so it is more obvious what is going on.
Update existing boards to enable SPL_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE where needed.

MD Danish Anwar <[email protected]> says:
The series introduces device tree and config changes and AM65x
to enable ICSSG driver. The series also enables SPL_LOAD_FIT_APPLY_OVERLAY
for AM65x in order to load overlay over spl.
The ICSSG2 node is added in device tree overlay so that it remains in
sync with linux kernel.
This series has been tested on AM65x SR2.0, and the ICSSG interface is
able to ping / dhcp and boot kernel using tftp in uboot.
The users need to set env variables fw_storage_interface, fw_dev_part,
fw_ubi_mtdpart, fw_ubi_volume to indicate which storage medium and
partition they want to use to load firmware files from. By default the env
fw_storage_interface=mmc and fw_dev_part=1:2 but users can modify these
envs as per their requirements.

The MSMC fixup is something we do based on SoC, not based on the board.
So this fixup does not belong in the board files. Move this to the
mach-k3 common file so that it does not have to be done in each board
that uses these SoCs.
We use ft_system_setup() here instead of ft_board_setup() since it is no
longer board level. Enable OF_SYSTEM_SETUP in the configurations that use
this to keep functionality the same.

The fdt_path_offset() function is slow since it must scan the tree.
This substantial overhead now applies to all boards.
The original code may not be ideal but it is fit for purpose and is only
needed on a few boards.
Reverting this reduces time to set up driver model by about 30ms.
Before revert:
Accumulated time:
47,170 dm_r
53,237 dm_spl
572,986 dm_f
Accumulated time:
44,598 dm_r
50,347 dm_spl

The first AM6x device was the AM654x, but being the first we named it
just AM6, since more devices have come out with this same prefix we
should switch it to the normal convention of using the full name of the
first compatibility device the series. This makes what device we are
talking about more clear and matches all the K3 devices added since.

Asking if the alias we found actually points at the device tree node
we passed in (in the guise of its offset from blob) can be done simply
by asking if the fdt_path_offset() of the alias' path is identical to
offset.
In fact, the current method suffers from the possibility of false
negatives: dtc does not necessarily emit a phandle property for a node
just because it is referenced in /aliases; it only emits a phandle
property for a node if it is referenced in <angle brackets>
somewhere. So if both the node we passed in and the alias node we're
considering don't have phandles, fdt_get_phandle() returns 0 for both.
Since the proper check is so simple, there's no reason to hide that
behind a config option (and if one really wanted that, it should be
called something else because there's no need to involve phandle in
the check).
