2025-03-30config: falcon: move CFG_SYS_SPI_* to KconfigAnshul Dalal
CFG_SYS_SPI_* are used in falcon boot to specify the offsets and size of the respective payloads. This patch moves them to Kconfig keeping the values consistent for each of the affected boards. 2025-02-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_ALTBOOTCMD to KconfigTomas Peterka
Add CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_ALTBOOTCMD so the developer is able to add custom altbootcmd via Kconfig when they enable BOOTCOUNT. With this now in Kconfig, we need to move it from environment files / config.h files and in to the defconfig file. This was done by generating u-boot-initial-env for all platforms before the Kconfig change, to extract altbootcmd values and then again after to compare the result. 2024-08-23spl: mmc: Try to clean up raw-mode optionsSimon Glass
Make the raw-mode options depend on SPL_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE in a more direct way. This makes it easier to understand the options with 'make menuconfig'. There are three different ways of specifying the offset: - sector offset - partition number - partition type So make these a choice, so it is more obvious what is going on. 2024-01-22mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menuTom Rini
The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>

This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. 2022-01-21spl: Convert SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_KERNEL_SECTOR to KconfigAlexandru Gagniuc
Falcon mode is very useful in improving boot speed. A question that Falcon mode asks is "Where do I look for the kernel". With MMC boot media, the correct answer is CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_KERNEL_SECTOR. The scope of this patch is to move this to Kconfig. It is possible for a system to support Falcon mode from NOR but not MMC. In that case, mmc_load_image_raw_os() would not be used. To address this, conditionally compile mmc_load_image_raw_os() when SPL_FALCON_BOOT_MMCSD, instead of SPL_OS_BOOT. 2021-12-27Finish converting CONFIG_WATCHDOG, HW_WATCHDOG and WDT to KconfigTom Rini
Because of how these symbols work, and the remaining board config.h file uses, we need to do these at the same time. In some cases we just get to move rather directly to the defconfigs. A few cases require manual intervention. For the case of the eb_cpu5282 we need to select HW_WATCHDOG for the target, given how it's implemented. For the cases of m53menlo, dh_imx6, display5, and display5_factory we disable SPL watchdog support as the particular combination of options they want would require either more symbols or enabling SPL_DM. 2021-08-30Convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig and add CONFIG_[ST]PL_SYS_I2C_LEGACYTom Rini

Next, as you cannot have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only in SPL. Finally, for some PowerPC cases we also need CONFIG_TPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY support. Convert all of the existing users to one or more symbols. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>

2020-08-25arm: mx6: Make all i.MX6 SoCs user-selectableTom Rini
We have a number of platforms that are a combination of a carrier board and System-on-Module (SoM) that in turn allows for the board to have different SoCs on it. In some cases, this is handled via board-specific Kconfig options. In other cases we make use of CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_OPTIONS. This latter case however can lead to invalid configurations as we will not in turn get options that in Kconfig are selected by or depend on that setting. To resolve this, make the SoC option a choice in Kconfig and make boards depend on what they can support. This change opens us up for further clean-ups in the cases where a single CONFIG_TARGET_xxx can support different SoCs and today they do not, or do not cleanly do so.
