8 dayssata: Rework the CMD_SATA and SATA symbolsTom Rini
Today we typically enable CMD_SATA in order to have the SATA functionality itself enabled, despite there being a clean split between the two symbols. This in turn leads to potential configuration problems. Split things so that SATA continues to be separate and not CMD_SATA instead depends, functionally, on AHCI being enabled. To do all of this: - Have X86 select AHCI directly rather than "default y" it later. - Make CMD_SATA be a default y option, given the split of platforms that enabled SATA and did, or did not, enable CMD_SATA. - Change "imply CMD_SATA" to "imply SATA" - Correct TARGET_VEXPRESS64_JUNO because you cannot select SATA_SIL without PCI (and in turn, SATA is needed for SATA_SIL). - Update a number of defconfigs to have no functional change. 2026-03-23serial: Enable SYS_NS16550 on incorrectly migrated platformsTom Rini
With the migration to DM_SERIAL in commit 191b10ac70d7 ("PowerPC / Layerscape: Finish migration to DM_SERIAL") a number of platforms were incorrectly migrated and did not enable SYS_NS16550 despite previously having enabled the non-DM NS16650 serial driver. Enable these now. 2025-05-30PowerPC / Layerscape: Finish migration to DM_SERIALTom Rini
Migrate the few ARM Layerscape platforms that had not been switched along with all remaining PowerPC platforms to DM_SERIAL. For PowerPC, this means that platforms which use SPL/TPL, keeping the non-DM serial driver enabled there as they do not use DM. 2022-02-10nvme: Split out PCI supportMark Kettenis
Apple SoCs have an integrated NVMe controller that isn't connected over a PCIe bus. In preparation for adding support for this NVMe controller, split out the PCI support into its own file. This file is selected through a new CONFIG_NVME_PCI Kconfig option, so do a wholesale replacement of CONFIG_NVME with CONFIG_NVME_PCI. Commit 323d3af59fe4 ("configs: ls1012ardb: Enable CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR") enables the config only for LS1012ARDB. Apart from LS1012A-RDB, other platforms such as LS1012A-FRWY, LS2088A and LS1046A-RDB/FRWY also require this config to be enabled. 2020-05-19configs: ls1012a: Reduce CONFIG_ENV_SIZE to 0x2000Ashish Kumar
All LS1012A board variants have same CONFIG_ENV_SECT_SIZE and CONFIG_ENV_SIZE values. If both config values are same, flash environment cannot be saved. Since, CONFIG_ENV_SECT_SIZE needs to be same as that of flash sector size, this entry cannot be changed. Reduce CONFIG_ENV_SIZE value to 0x2000. This also helps in making config value aligned with other boards environemt size.
