2025-04-28sunxi: Remove obsolete USBx_VBUS_PIN Kconfig symbolsSamuel Holland
Now that the USB PHY driver uses the device tree to get VBUS supply regulators, these Kconfig symbols are unused. Remove them. Signed-off-by: Samuel Holland <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Andre Przywara <[email protected]> Acked-by: Jernej Skrabec <[email protected]>
2025-01-22sunxi: H616: DRAM: rename Kconfig parameters to be more genericAndre Przywara
The H616 DRAM controller requires some board specific parameters, which we declare in Kconfig, let each board specify in their defconfig, and then use in the DRAM init code. Other DRAM controllers now require a very similar, if not identical parameter set, with so far the same parameter names used. To help keep the Kconfig file at bay, rename the existing parameter names to drop the H616_ part in there, to make them more naturally reusable for other SoCs. No functional change, just a rename. 2024-10-10sunxi: H616: switch to OF_UPSTREAMAndre Przywara
With the recent "old-style sunxi" sync and the penultimate OF_UPSTREAM DT update, both directories were based on the same v6.10 kernel tree. And while there is one subtle difference in many Allwinner SoC's DT files, the H616 ones turn out to be identical. Remove the old copies of the H616 related .dts and .dtsi files, and switch the whole H616 SoC over to use OF_UPSTREAM. This immediately benefits from the recent upstream DT update, to kernel v6.11. 2024-01-22mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menuTom Rini
The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2023-12-06sunxi: H616: remove default AXP305 selectionAndre Przywara
The original H616 devices released about three years ago were typically paired with an X-Powers AXP305 PMIC. Newer devices uses the smaller AXP313, and there seem to be far more systems with this PMIC around now. Remove the default AXP305 selection for the H616 SoC from the Kconfig, and move the PMIC selection into the board defconfig files instead. 2023-12-06sunxi: H616: OrangePi Zero 2: enable USB power supplyAndre Przywara
The OrangePi Zero 2 has a USB VBUS regulator, controlled by pin PC16. This is correctly described in the DT, but the patches for supporting this are still pending. Meanwhile add our good old CONFIG_USB1_VBUS_PIN to the defconfig file, to enable power on the USB port and allow using a USB flash drive, for instance. 2023-07-21sunxi: H616: enable USB support for H616 boardsAndre Przywara
Now that the PHY driver supports the H616 USB PHY, we can enable USB support for the two H616 boards. As the OrangePi Zero2 has a USB-C port hard-wired to peripheral mode, let's enable USB gadget mode for port 0, so people can use fastboot, ethernet or mass storage functionality. Since new will be added later and most are not known, let's reuse value from vendor DRAM driver as-is. This will also help adding support for new boards. 2023-01-21sunxi: remove CONFIG_MMC?_CD_PINAndre Przywara
For legacy reasons we were defining the card detect GPIO for all sunxi boards in each board's defconfig. There is actually no need for a card-detect check in the SPL code (which consequently has been removed already), and also in U-Boot proper we have DM code to query the CD GPIO name from the device tree. That means we don't have any user of that information left, so can remove the definitions from the defconfigs. 2022-12-13sunxi: define SYS_MONITOR_LEN in Kconfig, not _defconfigAndre Przywara
Commit 08574ed339fb ("Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to Kconfig") moved the definition of said config variable from the common sunxi header to *every board's* defconfig. This is a platform choice, not board specific, so remove the variable from there, instead set the one value for all Allwinner boards in Kconfig. 2022-11-10Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. Please note that the fuse setup requires PC5 (BOOT_SEL3) to be pulled to GND for that to actually work. 2022-10-18sunxi: defconfig: drop redundant definitionsAndre Przywara
When some configuration symbols were converted from header files to Kconfig, their values were placed into *every* defconfig file. Since we now have sensible per-SoC defaults defined in Kconfig, those values are now redundant, and can just be removed. This affects CONFIG_SPL_STACK, CONFIG_SYS_PBSIZE, CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE, and CONFIG_SYS_BOOTM_LEN. Signed-off-by: Andre Przywara <[email protected]>

2022-03-10sunxi: boards: Enable SPI flash support in U-Boot properAndre Przywara
Some sunxi boards ship with SPI flash, which allows booting through the BootROM. We cover this functionality by a separate SPL "mini" driver. Separately we have a proper DM_SPI driver for U-Boot proper, which provides access to the SPI flash through the "sf" command. That allows to update the firmware on the SPI flash, also to store the environment there. However only very few boards actually enable support for U-Boot proper, even though that would work and the SPL part is configured. Use the cleaned up configuration scheme to enable SPI flash on those boards which mention a SPI flash in their .dts, or which use the SPL SPI support. Out of the box this would enable storing the environment on the SPI flash, and allows people to read or write the flash from U-Boot, for instance to update the SPI flash when booted via an SD card. For this to actually work there must be a "spi0" alias in the DT, which most boards are missing. But this should be addressed separately.
