2025-08-12sunxi: pinecube: Enable EMAC and network supportPaul Kocialkowski
The pinecube has an ethernet connector which uses the EMAC and internal PHY of the chip. Enable it in the config. Reviewed-by: Andre Przywara <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <[email protected]>
2025-08-12sunxi: Switch V3/V3s device-tree source to OF_UPSTREAMPaul Kocialkowski
There is nothing special for u-boot in the V3/V3s device-tree files, they are just copies of the upstream ones. Remove the copies and switch to OF_UPSTREAM for supported boards. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Andre Przywara <[email protected]>
2024-10-16net: introduce alternative implementation as net/lwip/Jerome Forissier
Prepare the introduction of the lwIP (lightweight IP) TCP/IP stack by adding a new net/lwip/ directory and the NET_LWIP symbol. Network support is either NO_NET, NET (legacy stack) or NET_LWIP. Subsequent commits will introduce the lwIP code, re-work the NETDEVICE integration and port some of the NET commands and features to lwIP. SPL_NET cannot be enabled when NET_LWIP=y. SPL_NET pulls some symbols that are part of NET (such as arp_init(), arp_timeout_check(), arp_receive(), net_arp_wait_packet_ip()). lwIP support in SPL may be added later. Similarly, DFU_TFTP and FASTBOOT are not compatible with NET_LWIP because of dependencies on net_loop(), tftp_timeout_ms, tftp_timeout_count_max and other NET things. Let's add a dependency on !NET_LWIP for now. SANDBOX can select NET_LWIP but doing so will currently disable the eth dm tests as well as the wget tests which have strong dependencies on the NET code. Other adjustments to Kconfig files are made to fix "unmet direct dependencies detected" for USB_FUNCTION_SDP and CMD_FASTBOOT when the default networking stack is set to NET_LWIP ("default NET_LWIP" instead of "default NET" in Kconfig). The networking stack is now a choice between NO_NET, NET and NET_LWIP. Therefore '# CONFIG_NET is not set' should be 'CONFIG_NO_NET=y'. Adjust the defconfigs accordingly. 2024-01-22mtd: Make CONFIG_MTD be the gate symbol for the menuTom Rini
The help for CONFIG_MTD explains that it needs to be enabled for various things like NAND, etc to be available. It however then doesn't enforce this dependency and so if you have none of these systems present you still need to disable a number of options. Fix this by making places that select/imply one type of flash, but did not do the same, also do this for "MTD". Make boards which hadn't been enabling MTD already but need it now, do so. In a few places, disable CONFIG_CMD_MTDPARTS as it wasn't previously enabled but was now being implied. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>

2022-12-13sunxi: define SYS_MONITOR_LEN in Kconfig, not _defconfigAndre Przywara
Commit 08574ed339fb ("Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to Kconfig") moved the definition of said config variable from the common sunxi header to *every board's* defconfig. This is a platform choice, not board specific, so remove the variable from there, instead set the one value for all Allwinner boards in Kconfig. 2022-11-10Convert CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN To do this, we set a default of 0 for everyone because there are a number of cases where we define CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN but the only impact is that we set TOTAL_MALLOC_LEN to be CONFIG_SYS_MALLOC_LEN + CONFIG_ENV_SIZE, so we must continue to allow all boards to set this value. Update the SPL code to use 200 KB as the default raw U-Boot size directly, if we don't have a real CONFIG_SYS_MONITOR_LEN value. 2022-10-18sunxi: defconfig: drop redundant definitionsAndre Przywara
When some configuration symbols were converted from header files to Kconfig, their values were placed into *every* defconfig file. Since we now have sensible per-SoC defaults defined in Kconfig, those values are now redundant, and can just be removed. This affects CONFIG_SPL_STACK, CONFIG_SYS_PBSIZE, CONFIG_SPL_MAX_SIZE, and CONFIG_SYS_BOOTM_LEN. Signed-off-by: Andre Przywara <[email protected]>

2022-03-10sunxi: boards: Enable SPI flash support in U-Boot properAndre Przywara
Some sunxi boards ship with SPI flash, which allows booting through the BootROM. We cover this functionality by a separate SPL "mini" driver. Separately we have a proper DM_SPI driver for U-Boot proper, which provides access to the SPI flash through the "sf" command. That allows to update the firmware on the SPI flash, also to store the environment there. However only very few boards actually enable support for U-Boot proper, even though that would work and the SPL part is configured. Use the cleaned up configuration scheme to enable SPI flash on those boards which mention a SPI flash in their .dts, or which use the SPL SPI support. Out of the box this would enable storing the environment on the SPI flash, and allows people to read or write the flash from U-Boot, for instance to update the SPI flash when booted via an SD card. For this to actually work there must be a "spi0" alias in the DT, which most boards are missing. But this should be addressed separately. 2021-08-30Convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig and add CONFIG_[ST]PL_SYS_I2C_LEGACYTom Rini
First, we convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig. Next, as you cannot have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only in SPL. Finally, for some PowerPC cases we also need CONFIG_TPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY support. Convert all of the existing users to one or more symbols. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>

2021-01-11sunxi: add PineCube boardIcenowy Zheng
PineCube is an IP camera development kit released by Pine64. It comes with the following compoents: - A mainboard with Sochip S3 SoC, a 16MByte SPI Flash, AXP209 PMIC, a power-only microUSB connector, a USB Type-A connector, a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port and FPC connectors for camera and daughter board. - An OV5640-based camera module which is connected to the parallel CSI bus of the mainboard. - A daughterboard with several buttons, a SD slot, some IR LEDs, a microphone and a speaker connector. As the device tree is synchronized in a previous commit, just add it to Makefile, create a new MAINTAINER item and provide a defconfig.
