2026-03-25virtio: Fix virtio initialization sequenceChristian Pötzsch
The virtio spec clearly states in "3.1.1 Driver Requirements: Device Initialization" the sequence a client has to follow after device reset. Because u-boot resets here again, it also needs to set the "acknowledge" bit again even if this was done in virtio_uclass_child_post_bind already once before. 2024-08-26test: Rename unit-test flagsSimon Glass
The UT_TESTF_ macros read as 'unit test test flags' which is not right. Rename to UTF ('unit test flags'). This has the benefit of being shorter, which helps keep UNIT_TEST() declarations on a single line. Give the enum a name and reference it from the UNIT_TEST() macros while we are here. 2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2024-05-06test: Remove <common.h> and add needed includesTom Rini
Remove <common.h> from all "test/" files and when needed add missing include files directly. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2023-01-23virtio: Avoid strange behaviour on removalSimon Glass
This device does a check on removal which is better handled in the actual test. Move it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <[email protected]>
2022-10-17dm: treewide: Use uclass_first_device_err when accessing one deviceMichal Suchanek
There is a number of users that use uclass_first_device to access the first and (assumed) only device in uclass. Some check the return value of uclass_first_device and also that a device was returned which is exactly what uclass_first_device_err does. Some are not checking that a device was returned and can potentially crash if no device exists in the uclass. Finally there is one that returns NULL on error either way. Convert all of these to use uclass_first_device_err instead, the return value will be removed from uclass_first_device in a later patch. 2022-06-08test: dm: virtio: Test virtio device driver probingAndrew Scull
Once the virtio-rng driver has been bound, probe it to trigger the pre and post child probe hooks of the virtio uclass driver. Check the status of the virtio device to confirm it reached the expected state. Signed-off-by: Andrew Scull <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <[email protected]>
2022-06-08virtio: sandbox: Bind RNG rather than block deviceAndrew Scull
The virtio-rng driver is extremely simple, making it suitable for testing more of the virtio uclass logic. Have the sandbox driver bind the virtio-rng driver rather than the virtio-blk driver so it can be used in tests. 2022-06-08test: dm: virtio: Split out virtio device testsAndrew Scull
Virtio tests that find a child device require the virtio device driver to be included in the build so it can probe. The sandbox virtio transport driver currently reports a virtio-blk device so make sure the corresponding driver is built before running tests that need it.
