2024-10-23test: dm: wdt: replace cyclic_run() by schedule()Rasmus Villemoes
This is the last place outside of cyclic.c that references cyclic_run() directly. Replace by schedule(), so that cyclic_run() can be made private. This also better matches what I believe commit 29caf9305b6f ("cyclic: Use schedule() instead of WATCHDOG_RESET()") intended to do. 2024-10-23watchdog: gpio_wdt: add support for stoppable devicesRasmus Villemoes
Back when I added this driver in commit 2ac8490412c9, I wrote The corresponding linux driver apparently has support for some watchdog circuits which can be disabled by tri-stating the gpio, but I have never actually encountered such a chip in the wild; That has changed now; I have a board with just such a watchdog on my desk currently. Add support for that. - For a hw_algo="toggle" device, the gpio is requested as output if the always-running flag is set, otherwise as input. - The ->start() method is updated to change the direction to output when required (i.e. it is not always-running). - The ->stop() method is implemented, but of course reports failure if always-running. As I still haven't met any hw_algo="level" devices, I'm not entirely sure how they fit in, but I'm borrowing logic from the corresponding linux driver: - In ->probe(), such devices always request the gpio as GPIOD_IS_OUT. - In ->stop(), the linux driver has an "eternal ping" comment and sets the gpio to (logic) high. 2024-08-26test: Rename unit-test flagsSimon Glass
The UT_TESTF_ macros read as 'unit test test flags' which is not right. Rename to UTF ('unit test flags'). This has the benefit of being shorter, which helps keep UNIT_TEST() declarations on a single line. Give the enum a name and reference it from the UNIT_TEST() macros while we are here. 2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini

2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2022-07-21watchdog: add pulse support to gpio watchdog driverPaul Doelle
A common external watchdog circuit is kept alive by triggering a short pulse on the reset pin. This patch adds support for this use case, while making the algorithm configurable in the devicetree. The "linux,wdt-gpio" driver being modified is based off the equivalent driver in the Linux kernel, which provides support for this algorithm. This patch brings parity to this driver, and is kept aligned with the functionality and devicetree configuration in the kernel. It should be noted that this adds a required property named 'hw_algo' to the devicetree binding, following suit with the kernel. I'm happy to make this backward-compatible if preferred. 2021-08-31sandbox: add test of wdt_gpio driverRasmus Villemoes
It seems that no other test has claimed gpio_a:7 yet, so use that. The only small wrinkle is modifying the existing wdt test to use uclass_get_device_by_driver() since we now have two UCLASS_WDT instances in play, so it's a little more robust to fetch the device by driver and not merely uclass+index. 2020-08-07dm: Rename DM test flags to make them more genericSimon Glass
The test flags used by driver model are currently not available to other tests. Rather than creating two sets of flags, make these flags generic by changing the DM_ prefix to UT_ and moving them to the test.h header. This will allow adding other test flags without confusion. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
