2024-06-26arm: davinci: remove unused definesEmil Kronborg
The last usage of the DV_TIMER_ and DV_WDT_ definitions were removed in commits 8d7757637138 ("ARM: davinci: remove support for cam_enc_4xx") and cef443c1666c ("arm: davinci: remove leftover code for dm* SoCs"), respectively. 2024-06-26arm: davinci: remove unused watchdog functionsEmil Kronborg
The davinci_hw_watchdog_ functions are defined but never called from anywhere. Commit 881ae794b93b ("calimain: remove board") eliminated the last call to these functions. Signed-off-by: Emil Kronborg <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Stefan Roese <[email protected]>
2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini

2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2024-05-06arm: davinci: Remove <common.h> and add needed includesTom Rini
Remove <common.h> from all mach-davinci files and when needed add missing include files directly. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2023-12-21arm: Partial cleanup and audit usage of <config.h>Tom Rini
We need to include <config.h> directly when a file needs to have something such as CFG_SYS_SDRAM_SIZE referenced as this file is not automatically globally included and is most commonly indirectly included via common.h. Remove most cases of arm including config.h directly, but add it where needed. This includes a few board-specific fixes. 2023-11-07arm: Drop <common.h> from remaining header filesTom Rini
None of these header files need to include <common.h> so we can just drop that entirely. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2023-05-31include: Remove unused header filesTom Rini

2021-08-30davinci: Drop CONFIG_MAC_ADDR_IN_EEPROMTom Rini
Looking over the current boards, there are no users of CONFIG_MAC_ADDR_IN_EEPROM. Further, omapl138_lcdk uses CONFIG_NET_RANDOM_ETHADDR. Drop various unused code paths. Cc: Adam Ford <[email protected]> Cc: Lokesh Vutla <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>

2020-06-13mmc: davinci_mmc: Cleanup to use dt in U-boot and static platdata in SPLFaiz Abbas
Cleanup this driver to use dt in U-boot and static platdata in SPL. This requires the following steps: 1. Move all platdata assignment from probe() to ofdata_to_platdata(). This function is only called in U-boot. 2. Replicate all the platdata assignment being done in ofdata_to_platdata() in the omapl138 board file. This data is used in the SPL case where SPL_OF_CONTROL is not enabled. 3. Remove SPL_OF_CONTROL and related configs from omapl138_lcdk_defconfig This cleanup effectively reverts 3ef94715cc ('mmc: davinci: fix mmc boot in SPL') Signed-off-by: Faiz Abbas <[email protected]> Tested-by: Bartosz Golaszewski <[email protected]>
2019-12-15dm: gpio: Allow control of GPIO uclass in SPLSimon Glass
At present if CONFIG_SPL_GPIO_SUPPORT is enabled then the GPIO uclass is included in SPL/TPL without any control for boards. Some boards may want to disable this to reduce code size where GPIOs are not needed in SPL or TPL. Add a new Kconfig option to permit this. Default it to 'y' so that existing boards work correctly. Change existing uses of CONFIG_DM_GPIO to CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_GPIO) to preserve the current behaviour. Also update the 74x164 GPIO driver since it cannot build with SPL. This allows us to remove the hacks in config_uncmd_spl.h and Makefile.uncmd_spl (eventually those files should be removed). 2019-05-04arm: davinci: remove leftover code for dm* SoCsBartosz Golaszewski
The support for DaVinci DM* SoCs has been dropped a while ago. There's still a lot of leftover code in mach-davinci though. Entirely remove certain files and modify the common code to no longer reference unsupported chips. Note: all DaVinci platforms supported in u-boot now define SOC_DA8XX but not all define SOC_DA850 (e.g. omapl138). We can safely remove all ifdefs for the former, but let's leave the ones for the latter. Signed-off-by: Bartosz Golaszewski <[email protected]>
2019-05-04arm: davinci: remove dead code for PHYs used by DaVinci DM* boardsBartosz Golaszewski
The support for DaVinci DM* boards has been dropped a while ago. The code for all those PHYs is no longer used and they have their own proper PHY drivers in drivers/net/phy anyway. Remove all dead code. Signed-off-by: Bartosz Golaszewski <[email protected]>
2019-05-03ARM: davinci: Remove unused functions from headerAdam Ford

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2017-06-05common: arm: davinci: Move header file out of commonSimon Glass

2017-01-14davinci: spl: use bootcfg to select boot deviceFabien Parent
Right now the SPL is trying to load u-boot based on defines, i.e. one has to define CONFIG_SPL_NAND_SIMPLE to boot from NAND, or CONFIG_SPL_SPI_LOAD to boot from SPI FLASH, etc... This prevent us from having a single SPL image that is able to boot from all media, and one need to build an image for each medium. This commit is replacing the #ifdef that select the boot medium by reading the value of the boot pins (via the BOOTCFG register). Now a single SPL image will be able to read from the boot pin to know which device should be used to load u-boot. 2016-03-14arm: Add support for LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3David Lechner
This is based on the davinci da850evm. It can boot from either the on-board 16MB flash or from a microSD card. It also reads board information from an I2C EEPROM. The EV3 itself initally boots from write-protected EEPROM, so no u-boot SPL is needed. Signed-off-by: David Lechner <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
