Currently, the bi_dram[] information is stored in the board info
structure (bd). Because bd is only valid after reserve_board(),
dram_init_banksize() must be called late in the initialization process.
This limitation is problematic, as it forces us to rely on a variety of
bespoke functions to determine board RAM, bank memory sizes, and other
early setup requirements.
By moving bi_dram[] into the global data (gd), we can run it earlier.
This is particularly convenient since boards define their own
dram_init_banksize() routines, which do not always rely on parsing
Device Tree (DT) memory nodes.
Additionally, U-Boot defaults to relocating to the top of the first memory
bank. While boards currently use custom functions to override this
behavior, having the DRAM bank information available earlier in gd makes
relocating to a different bank trivial and standardizes the process.

Commit 86acdce2ba88 ("common: add config for board_init() call")
introduced CONFIG_BOARD_INIT option. This option can be disabled for the
boards where board_init() function is not needed. Remove empty
board_init() calls for all boards where it's possible, and disable
CONFIG_BOARD_INIT in all related defconfigs.
This cleanup was made semi-automatically using these scripts: [1].
No functional change, but the binary size for the modified boards is
reduced a bit.

Network is broken on variant 3 boards since commit 61ff13283c3b ("board:
sl28: move to OF_UPSTREAM") because it was removing the variant 3
handling. That is because at that time the var3 device tree was not
upstream. FWIW variant 3 is actually the same as the base variant, but
I've missed that the -u-boot.dtsi is not inlcuded in this case which
will set the ethernet alias. Now that the var3 device tree is upstream,
just re-add it to the SPL handling again.

We don't have a reference to the driver used by
uclass_get_device_by_driver() in stop_recovery_watchdog(). Fix it by not
calling that function if the watchdog driver isn't enabled.

When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay
Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and
so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master.
This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing
changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35.

Use the new device devicetree files in dts/upstream/ and delete the old
ones. Still keep the -u-boot.dtsi with all u-boot specifics around.
There is one catch and that is fsl-ls1028a-kontron-sl28-var3.dts which
is not available upstream (yet!). For now, the base dts is used for this
variant as this only differ in the compatible and the (human readable)
model name.

The number of image array entries global variable is required
to support EFI capsule update. This information is exposed as a
num_image_type_guids variable, but this information
should be included in the efi_capsule_update_info structure.
This commit adds the num_images member in the
efi_capsule_update_info structure. All board files supporting
EFI capsule update are updated.

The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE
and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL().
Rename it to resolve this problem.

Depending on the boot source, set different CLI prompts. This will help
the user to figure out in which mode the bootloader was started. There
are two special modes: failsafe and SDHC boot.

During startup the SPL will print where the u-boot proper is read from.
Instead of using the default names, provide more user friendly names.

The board is able to boot from the following source:
- user-updateble SPI flash
- write-protected part of the same SPI flash
- eMMC
- SD card
Implement the needed function hooks to support all of these boot
sources.

The board supports up to 8 GiB memory. The memory is soldered on the
board but the configuration is equivalent to a dual chip select, dual
rank DIMM module.

With a 8GiB memory board, it seems that the "very unlikely event" of a
DDR initialization with non-optimal values are not really that unlikely.
It happens in about every other reboot. As described in erratum
A-009942, preset the DEBUG_28 register with an optimal value. The value
iself depends on the memory configuration of the board, but the used
value seems to work well for all variants.

Add a structure which defines the information that is needed for
executing capsule updates on a platform. Some information in the
structure like the dfu string is used for making the update process
more robust while some information like the per platform image GUIDs
is used for fixing issues. Initialise this structure in the board
file, and use the information for the capsule updates.

This board has an internal watchdog which supervises the board startup.
Although, the initial state of the watchdog is configurable, it is
enabled by default. In board_late_init(), which means almost everything
worked as expected, disable the watchdog.

The current console output is:
DRAM: 4 GiB
DDR 4 GiB (DDR3, 32-bit, CL=11, ECC on)
The size is printed twice and we can save one line of console output if
we join both lines. The new output is as follows:
DRAM: 4 GiB (DDR3, 32-bit, CL=11, ECC on)

Enable SATA support. Although not supported by the usual SATA pins on
the SMARC baseboard connector, SATA mode is supported on a PCIe lane.
This way one can use a mSATA card in a Mini PCI slot.
We need to invert the received data because in this mode the polarity of
the SerDes lane is swapped. Provide a fixup in board_early_init_f() for
the SPL. board_early_init_f() is then not common between SPL and u-boot
proper anymore, thus common.c is removed, as it just contained said
function.

Although this variant has two external network ports, they are not (yet)
supported by the bootloader because they are connected via an internal
network switch. Otherwise its the same as the other variants.

This variant has one network port connected via RGMII and doesn't have
any TSN capabilities out-of-the-box. Instead it has all four SerDes
lanes available for customer use.

Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding
another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header
files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few
cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so
remove that include.

Add basic support for the Kontron SMARC-sAL28 board. This includes just
the bare minimum to be able to bring up the board and boot linux.
For now, the Single and Dual PHY variant is supported. Other variants
will fall back to the basic variant.
In particular, there is no watchdog support for now. This means that you
have to disable the default watchdog, otherwise you'll end up in the
recovery bootloader. See the board README for details.
