TI K3 AM62x/AM62Ax/AM62Px boards carry two or three mutually-exclusive
tifsstub variants in their tispl.bin FIT images, all at the same load
address. The existing approach loads every variant and then discards
the wrong ones at runtime via a *p_size = 0 hack in
board_fit_image_post_process(). Switch to selecting the appropriate
FIT configuration up front via board_fit_config_name_match() so only
the correct tifsstub is loaded in the first place.
board_fit_config_name_match() is invoked by the R5 SPL during FIT
config selection. get_device_type() is a simple register read that is
available at that point, so the security state can be determined
early. The matching logic is factored into
k3_fit_config_match_security_state() in arch/arm/mach-k3/common.c so
it can be shared by any K3 board that wants this scheme. It matches
configurations by a suffix appended to the description string:
-hs-se -> HS-SE (K3_DEVICE_TYPE_HS_SE)
-hs-fs -> HS-FS (K3_DEVICE_TYPE_HS_FS)
-gp -> GP (K3_DEVICE_TYPE_GP)
Configurations without a security-state suffix (e.g. u-boot.img) do
not match and fall through to the DTS-specified default config
naturally.
Each TI EVM board defines its board_fit_config_name_match() as a thin
wrapper around the shared helper:
- board/ti/am62x/evm.c (AM625 SK: hs-se, hs-fs, gp)
- board/ti/am62ax/evm.c (AM62A SK: hs-se, hs-fs, gp)
- board/ti/am62px/evm.c (AM62P SK: hs-se, hs-fs, gp)
FIT configurations are split per security state in:
- arch/arm/dts/k3-am625-sk-binman.dtsi
(ti-falcon, ti-spl, ti-spl_unsigned: conf-hs-se/conf-hs-fs/conf-gp)
- arch/arm/dts/k3-am62a-sk-binman.dtsi
(ti-falcon, ti-spl: conf-hs-se/conf-hs-fs; no GP variant on AM62A)
- arch/arm/dts/k3-am62p-sk-binman.dtsi
(ti-falcon, ti-spl: conf-hs-se/conf-hs-fs; no GP variant on AM62P)
The runtime filter in board_fit_image_post_process() is intentionally
left in place. It becomes redundant once every board using the AM62x
family dtsi files migrates to per-state configurations. The dtsi for
phytec phycore and toradex verdin boards is updated by separate
patches in this series, and the now-redundant runtime filter is
removed by the final patch in the series.

The load addresses for DFU download binaries were hardcoded for K3
devices which required redefinition of such env for boards that deviated
from the expected K3 memory map (such as AM6254atl EMV).
This patch replaces the hardcoded addresses with their corresponding
Kconfig options making the k3_dfu.env more general.

In the TI's K3 bootflow of tiboot3.bin -> tispl.bin -> u-boot.img:
(R5 SPL) (A53 SPL)
We currently provide a common dfu_alt_info_ram for both R5 SPL and A53
SPL which is not intuitive in a regular bootflow where each binary
should only request it's immediate next stage.
This patch updates dfu_alt_info_ram such that the R5 SPL would only
request for tispl.bin and A53 SPL would only request u-boot.img.

This series updates the Resource Management (RM) configuration files

Background
----------
With the latest TIFS firmware (v11.02.09), an additional virtual
interrupt and event is reserved for MCU cores to DM usage on am62x,
am62ax, and am62px devices. This series brings the rm-cfg and
tifs-rm-cfg files in sync with these firmware changes across both
TI reference boards and vendor boards.
These changes are backward compatible with older TIFS firmware versions.
Additionally, the am62x platform was originally introduced without a
tifs-rm-cfg.yaml file, unlike other platforms in the AM62 family.
This series addresses that gap and enables tifs-rm-cfg in binman for
am625-sk and am62p-sk platforms.

The am62x platform was originally introduced without a
tifs-rm-cfg.yaml file. Add the tifs-rm-cfg to bring am62x
in line with other am62 family of devices (am62px and am62a)
which all include this file.
This complements the rm-cfg update earlier in this series.

Remove DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTR from files where gd is not used, and
drop the unnecessary inclusion of asm/global_data.h.
Headers should be included directly by the files that need them,
rather than indirectly via global_data.h.

Enable 32k crystal on the board. If external 32k source is not
used, 32k rc-osc comes into play, which is accurate to +-20%.

TI's AM6254atl (or AM62x SiP for short) provides the existing AM62x SoC
with 512MiB of DDR integrated in a single package.
This patch adds the necessary U-Boot devie tree files, the required
defconfigs along with the documentation for the AM62x SiP EVM.
AM62x SiP differs from the already supported AM62x in following ways:
- OP-TEE for the AM62x resides from 0x9e800000 to 0xa0000000 which needs
to be moved to 0x80080000 to free up space at end of DDR in AM62x SiP
with 512MiB of memory. This is required to allow U-Boot to relocate to
end of DDR before booting to the kernel.
- Changes to the env:
1. splashimage address updated from 0x80200000 to 0x81a00000
2. DFU addresses updated to match updated TEXT_BASE for SPL and U-Boot

I2C EEPROM data contains the board name and its revision.
Add support for:
- Reading EEPROM data and store a copy at end of SRAM
- Updating env variable with relevant board info
- Printing board info during boot
Use the generic do_board_detect_am6() and setup_serial_am6()
functions to avoid code duplication across AM6x family boards.

The current spl_board_fixups API allows for modification of spl_image
before the SPL jumps to it. This can be used to modify the DT for the
next boot stage, however the current API only allows either the machine
arch or the board to use it.
This limits the utility of the API as there might be certain fixups that
should be applied to all boards sharing the same machine architecture
with others being board specific.
For TI's K3 specifically, this prevents us from performing architecture
level fixups since a lot of TI boards are already making use of the
spl_board_fixups API.
Therefore this patch splits the API into two to allow both board and the
architecture specific fixups. The order is kept as arch then board to
give board specific fixups the precedence.

Commit 86acdce2ba88 ("common: add config for board_init() call")
introduced CONFIG_BOARD_INIT option. This option can be disabled for the
boards where board_init() function is not needed. Remove empty
board_init() calls for all boards where it's possible, and disable
CONFIG_BOARD_INIT in all related defconfigs.
This cleanup was made semi-automatically using these scripts: [1].
No functional change, but the binary size for the modified boards is
reduced a bit.

The write_host_id is the last element here and order does matter. This
may have gone unnoticed before as by default all elements are 0, but
if this is updated to a different host, it will not work. Update
the order so write_host_id is the last element in all current secure
board configs.

Now that capsule update sets the dfu_alt_info environment variable
explicitly, there is no need to support it in the set_dfu_alt_info()
function. Decouple SET_DFU_ALT_INFO from EFI_CAPSULE_FIRMWARE_FIT and
EFI_CAPSULE_FIRMWARE_RAW. For many boards, this was the only use of
set_dfu_alt_info() so remove the function entirely.

Some K3 devices like am62x and am64x have a M4 processor in the MCU
voltage domain. This patch series introduces remoteproc M4 driver which
will be used to load firmware into and start the M4 remote core.
This series also adds support for R5F cores on am64x SoCs in patch 2 and
sets up environment to load FW in remote cores in patch 3,4,5.
This patch series also enables remoteproc drivers by default as per what
remoteproc sybsystem is supported per SoC, thus all remoteproc options
are now deleted in configs/* since they are no longer required.
This patch series was tested on am64x EVM, am62x SK, am62ax SK,
am62px SK boards.
Any additional tested by's are welcome since I was not able to
test any additional boards.
Tested by running the following commands in u-boot prompt:
=> setenv dorprocboot 1
=> run boot_rprocs

Add remoteproc specific env support for am62x device. If the
remoteproc CMD is defined, include the K3 remoteproc environment.
Also define rproc_fw_binaries which holds a list of remoteproc FW
binaries for u-boot loading of remote cores.

size when ECC is enabled
As there are few redundant functions in board/ti/*/evm.c files, pull
them to a common location of access to reuse and include the common file
to access the functions.
Call k3-ddrss driver through fixup_ddr_driver_for_ecc() to fixup the
device tree and resize the available amount of DDR, if ECC is enabled.
Otherwise, fixup the device tree using the regular
fdt_fixup_memory_banks().
Also call dram_init_banksize() after every call to
fixup_ddr_driver_for_ecc() is made so that gd->bd is populated
correctly.
Ensure that fixup_ddr_driver_for_ecc() is agnostic to the number of DDR
controllers present.

Update simple-framebuffer device-tree node by enumerating framebuffer
related information in existing simple-framebuffer node in Linux
device-tree file and enabling it.
In case there is no simple-framebuffer stub detected in Linux kernel
device-tree and video is still active, then update the device-tree to
reserve the framebuffer region for the active splash screen.
This helps preserve the splash screen till the display server takes over
after OS is booted.

When the SPL build-phase was first created it was designed to solve a
particular problem (the need to init SDRAM so that U-Boot proper could
be loaded). It has since expanded to become an important part of U-Boot,
with three phases now present: TPL, VPL and SPL
Due to this history, the term 'SPL' is used to mean both a particular
phase (the one before U-Boot proper) and all the non-proper phases.
This has become confusing.
For a similar reason CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is set to 'y' for all 'SPL'
phases, not just SPL. So code which can only be compiled for actual SPL,
for example, must use something like this:
#if defined(CONFIG_SPL_BUILD) && !defined(CONFIG_TPL_BUILD)
In Makefiles we have similar issues. SPL_ has been used as a variable
which expands to either SPL_ or nothing, to chose between options like
CONFIG_BLK and CONFIG_SPL_BLK. When TPL appeared, a new SPL_TPL variable
was created which expanded to 'SPL_', 'TPL_' or nothing. Later it was
updated to support 'VPL_' as well.
This series starts a change in terminology and usage to resolve the
above issues:
- The word 'xPL' is used instead of 'SPL' to mean a non-proper build
- A new CONFIG_XPL_BUILD define indicates that the current build is an
'xPL' build
- The existing CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is changed to mean SPL; it is not now
defined for TPL and VPL phases
- The existing SPL_ Makefile variable is renamed to SPL_
- The existing SPL_TPL Makefile variable is renamed to PHASE_
It should be noted that xpl_phase() can generally be used instead of
the above CONFIGs without a code-space or run-time penalty.
This series does not attempt to convert all of U-Boot to use this new
terminology but it makes a start. In particular, renaming spl.h and
common/spl seems like a bridge too far at this point.
The series is fully bisectable. It has also been checked to ensure there
are no code-size changes on any commit.

The am62x-lp-sk is a package and reference board spin of the am62x-sk to
showcase the low-power features of the am62x SoC family. Because it so
closely resembles the am62x-sk board, use the preprocessor to inherit
its configuration making the needed changes for this board where
necessary.

not interefere with reservations for next stage so that the next stage
need not have holes in between for passed regions and instead it can
maintain continuity in reservations.
Also catch the bloblist before starting reservations to avoid the same

passing it to next stage.

Currently each set of board targets from a vendor is selected inside
the board directory for that vendor. This has the problem of multiple
targets, one from each vendor, being selectable at the same time.
For instance you can select both TARGET_AM654_A53_EVM and
TARGET_IOT2050_A53 in the same build.
To fix this we need to move the target board choice to a common location
for each parent SoC selection. Do this in arch/arm/mach-k3.

Currently the K3 selection for TARGET boards does not depend on the SoC
for which it is based. This leds to the odd ability to select for instance
both SOC_K3_AM625 and TARGET_J721E_A72_EVM.
To fix this the target choice should depend on the matching SOC config.

BeagleBoard.org BeaglePlay is an easy to use, affordable open source
hardware single board computer based on the Texas Instruments AM625
SoC that allows you to create connected devices that work even at long
distances using IEEE 802.15.4g LR-WPAN and IEEE 802.3cg 10Base-T1L.
Expansion is provided over open standards based mikroBUS, Grove and

Add explicit boot_targets to indicate the specific boot sequence to
follow.
NOTE: The non-standard ti_mmc emulates what is done for distro_boot.
With bootstd, this will eventually need to be replaced by equivalent
class.

The 'environment' word is too long. We mostly use 'env' in U-Boot, so use
that as the name of the include directory too.
