2025-08-15net: phy: cortina: Ensure memory allocated is freedAndrew Goodbody
In cs4340_upload_firmware a buffer is allocated with malloc but this is never freed. The pointer to this buffer, addr, is not even kept unchanged. But in some cases addr is not a buffer allocated by malloc. Introduce the use of another pointer to keep track of the buffer and to know if it needs to be freed. This issue was found by Smatch. 2025-06-20env: Rename SYS_MMC_ENV_DEV to ENV_MMC_DEVICE_INDEXMarek Vasut
Rename the variable and add ENV_ prefix, so that all configuration options which are related to environment would have an CONFIG_ENV_ prefix. No functional change. Use ENV_MMC_DEVICE_INDEX to clarify this is the SD/MMC device index, a number, as enumerated by U-Boot. Update the help text accordingly. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <[email protected]>
2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <[email protected]> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. Convert PHY driver to U_BOOT_PHY_DRIVER() macro and drop phy_register() init call. 2021-12-27Convert CONFIG_ENV_SPI_BUS et al to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_SPI_BUS CONFIG_ENV_SPI_CS CONFIG_ENV_SPI_MAX_HZ CONFIG_ENV_SPI_MODE As part of this, we use Kconfig to provide the defaults now that were done in include/spi_flash.h. We also in some cases change from using CONFIG_ENV_SPI_FOO to CONFIG_SF_DEFAULT_FOO as those were the values in use anyhow as ENV was not enabled. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2021-08-18net: cortina: Add support for tfa boot in cortina firmwareKuldeep Singh
Add support for boards supporting TFA boot separately in cortina firmware. Please note, a weak function is defined to retrieve firmware address values as CONFIG_CORTINA_FW_ADDR is now defined in defconfig and can only have one possible value defined. This weak function will help in overwrting the values to get proper addresses as per boot source. Signed-off-by: Kuldeep Singh <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Priyanka Jain <[email protected]>

2018-06-13net/phy/cortina: Add support for CS4223 PHYVicentiu Galanopulo
Add support for Cortina CS4223 10G PHY - As per the CS4223 specs, an EEPROM module is connected to the PHY. At startup the PHY reads the firmware line and tries to load the firmware into the internal memory. - This driver reads the EEPROM status and checks if firmware has been loaded Signed-off-by: Vicentiu Galanopulo <[email protected]> Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <[email protected]>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2018-03-22net/phy/cortina: Add No firmware upload optionPriyanka Jain
Current Cortina phy driver assumes that firmware upload is required during initialization and is dependent on presence of corresponding macros like CONFIG_CORTINA_FW_ADDR for compilation. But Cortina phy has provision to store phy firmware in attached dedicated EEPROM. And boards designed with such EEPROM does not require firmware upload. Add CORTINA_NO_FW_UPLOAD option in cortina.c to support such boards. Signed-off-by: Priyanka Jain <[email protected]> Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <[email protected]>
2018-03-22net/phy/cortina.c: Update get_phy_id implementationPriyanka Jain
Update get_phy_id() implementation in cortina.c to check for Cortina_phy by comparing device phy_id with cortina phy_id instead of relying on presence of CORTINA macros. This will allow get_phy_id to work with non-cortina phy devices which might have same phy address as Cortina device but on different bus. 2017-09-15blk: Remove various places that do flush cache after readBin Meng
All these places seem to inherit the codes from the MMC driver where a FIXME was put in the comment. However the correct operation after read should be cache invalidate, not flush. The underlying drivers should be responsible for the cache operation. Remove these codes completely. 2016-01-13block: pass block dev not num to read/write/erase()Stephen Warren
This will allow the implementation to make use of data in the block_dev structure beyond the base device number. This will be useful so that eMMC block devices can encompass the HW partition ID rather than treating this out-of-band. Equally, the existence of the priv field is crying out for this patch to exist. 2014-12-05net/phy: Add support for CS4315/CS4340 PHYShengzhou Liu
Add support for Cortina CS4315/CS4340 10G PHY. - This driver loads CS43xx firmware from NOR/NAND/SPI/SD device to initialize Cortina PHY. - Cortina PHY has non-standard offset of PHY ID registers, thus we define own get_phy_id() to override default get_phy_id(). - To define macro CONFIG_PHY_CORTINA will enable this driver.
