7 dayspower: domain: Add Renesas R-Car R8A78000 X5H MDLC power domain and reset driverMarek Vasut
Add Renesas R-Car R8A78000 X5H MDLC power domain and reset driver, which serves as a remap driver between DT power domain and reset IDs and SCMI power domain and reset IDs in case U-Boot runs on Cortex-A, and as a direct hardware access driver for RSIP. The R-Car X5H SCP firmware uses different SCMI power domain and reset IDs in different versions of the SCP firmware, which makes this remapping necessary. The SCMI base protocol version is updated for each new SCP firmware version, it is therefore possible to determine which SCP firmware version is running on the platform from the base protocol and then determine which remapping table to use for DT power domain and reset ID to SCMI power domain and reset ID remapping. Currently supported versions are SCP 4.28, 4.31, 4.32 . The DT power domain and reset ID to SCMI power domain and reset ID remap and call mechanism is simple. Unlike SCMI clock protocol driver, the SCMI reset and power domain protocol drivers register only a single device. This driver looks up that single device, obtains its reset or power domain ops, sets up struct reset_ctl or struct power_domain with remapped SCMI ID, and invokes operations directly on the device. In case of RSIP, all power domains are already enabled by BootROM or early SoC initialization code, the driver therefore only acts as a stub for the power domain part. The reset part operates as a direct hardware access reset driver. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <[email protected]>
2026-04-27power-domain: Add QCOM RPMH Power Domain Driver SupportBalaji Selvanathan
Added support for Qualcomm RPMH power domain driver, responsible for managing power domains on Qualcomm SoCs. This is a port of the Linux RPMHPD driver [1] and sa8775p related changes. The power domain driver currently has support to power on and off MMCX power domain of sa8775p; support for other soc entries power domains are stubbed, in future, the required soc support can be added. Add trivial driver for i.MX8MP HSIOMIX handling. This is responsible for enabling the GPCv2 power domains and clock for USB 3.0 and PCIe in the correct order. Currently supported is the USB 3.0 part which can be tested, PCIe support should be easy to add. 2022-04-21imx: power-domain: Get rid of SMCCC dependencyMarek Vasut
This driver is the only SMCCC dependency in iMX8M U-Boot port. Rework the driver based on Linux GPCv2 driver to directly control the GPCv2 block instead of using SMCCC calls. This way, U-Boot can operate the i.MX8M power domains without depending on anything else. This is losely based on Linux GPCv2 driver. The GPU, VPU, MIPI power domains are not supported to save space, since they are not useful in the bootloader. The only domains kept are ones for HSIO, PCIe, USB. 2022-02-15power: zynqmp: Add power domain driver for ZynqMPMichal Simek
Driver should be enabled by CONFIG_POWER_DOMAIN=y and CONFIG_ZYNQMP_POWER_DOMAIN=y. Power domain driver doesn't have own DT node but it uses zynqmp firmware DT node that's why there is a need to bind driver when firmware node is found. Driver itself is simple. It is sending pmufw config object overlay for enabling access to device which is done in ...domain_request(). In ...domain_on() capabilities are passed and node is requested. This should be bare minimum of required to get power domain driver working. 2018-10-22power: Add power domain driver for i.MX8Peng Fan
Add the power domain DM driver for i.MX8, that it depends on the DTB power domain trees to generate the power domain provider devices. Users need to add power domain trees with property "compatible = "nxp,imx8-pd";" When power on a PD device, the driver will power on its ancestor PD devices in power domain tree. When power off a PD device, the driver will check its child PD devices first. Only if all child PD devices are off, then power off the current PD device. Then the driver checks sibling PD devices. If sibling PD devices are off, then it will power off parent PD device. There is no counter maintained in this driver, but a state to hold current on/off state. So the request and free functions are empty. The power domain implementation in i.MX8 DTB set the "#power-domain-cells" to 0, so there is no ID binding with each PD device. We don't use "id" variable in struct power_domain. At the same time, we have to set of_xlate to empty to bypass standard of_xlate in uclass driver. 2018-09-11power domain: Introduce TI System Control Interface (TI SCI) power domain driverAndreas Dannenberg
Some TI Keystone 2 and K3 family of SoCs contain a system controller (like the Power Management Micro Controller (PMMC) on 66AK2G SoCs and the Device Management and Security Controller on AM65x SoCs) that manage the low-level device control (like clocks, resets etc) for the various hardware modules present on the SoC. These device control operations are provided to the host processor OS through a communication protocol called the TI System Control Interface (TI SCI) protocol. This patch adds a power domain driver that communicates to the system controller over the TI SCI protocol for performing power management of various devices present on the SoC. Various power domain functionalities are achieved by the means of different TI SCI device operations provided by the TI SCI framework. This code is loosely based on the drivers/soc/ti/ti_sci_pm_domains.c driver of the Linux kernel.
