2014-10-27PowerPC: drop some 74xx_7xx boards and related codeWolfgang Denk
The file board/Marvell/include/mv_gen_reg.h is incompatible with the GPL (see for example the "MARVELL RESERVES THE RIGHT AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION TO REQUEST THAT THIS CODE BE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO MARVELL" clause). As this cannot be fixed, we remove the file and all code that depends on it. Fortunately this only affects some very old boards that have long reached EOL: CPCI750 DB64360 DB64460 p3m750 p3m7448 Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <[email protected]> Cc: Reinhard Arlt <[email protected]> Cc: Stefan Roese <[email protected]> Cc: Roger Meier <[email protected]>

2013-11-04config: Add a default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPTRob Herring
The definitions for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT are varied with little reason other than to display the board name. Over half the definitions are "==> ", so make this the default. The rest of the boards remain unchanged to avoid breaking any external scripts expecting a certain prompt. 2012-06-20hush.c: Move default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT_HUSH_PS2 to hush.cTom Rini
Exactly one board has defined CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT_HUSH_PS2 to a value different than "> " which is vision2. I have Cc'd the maintainer here as I strongly suspect this is a bug rather than intentional behavior. 2011-10-05board configs: drop NET_MULTI referencesMike Frysinger
Now that none of the core checks CONFIG_NET_MULTI, there's not much point in boards defining it. So scrub all references to it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <[email protected]>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. 2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2010-10-18powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser
Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. 2010-10-18Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk
Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. 2010-06-23Get rid of bogus CONFIG_SYS_BUS_HZ and CONFIG_SYS_CONFIG_BUS_CLK definitionsWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_BUS_HZ has not really been used anywhere except to be redined as CONFIG_SYS_BUS_CLK; in addition, the mpc7448hpc2 had the bogus CONFIG_SYS_CONFIG_BUS_CLK setting which duplicated the funtionality. Change all this to use CONFIG_SYS_BUS_CLK consistently. 2008-05-21Big white-space cleanup.Wolfgang Denk
This commit gets rid of a huge amount of silly white-space issues. Especially, all sequences of SPACEs followed by TAB characters get removed (unless they appear in print statements). Also remove all embedded "vim:" and "vi:" statements which hide indentation problems. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <[email protected]>

2007-08-18lib_ppc: make board_add_ram_info weakKim Phillips
