2025-02-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_ALTBOOTCMD to KconfigTomas Peterka
Add CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_ALTBOOTCMD so the developer is able to add custom altbootcmd via Kconfig when they enable BOOTCOUNT. With this now in Kconfig, we need to move it from environment files / config.h files and in to the defconfig file. This was done by generating u-boot-initial-env for all platforms before the Kconfig change, to extract altbootcmd values and then again after to compare the result. - Make all users of CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR reference SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR - Introduce HAS_CUSTOM_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR to allow for setting the stack pointer directly, otherwise we use the common calculation. - On some platforms that were using the standard calculation but did not set CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE / CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_ADDR, set them. - On a small number of platforms that were not subtracting GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE do so now via the standard calculation. - CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_OFFSET is now widely unused, so remove it from most board config header files. 2021-09-07arm: Disable ATAGs supportTom Rini
With the exceptions of ds109, ds414, icnova-a20-swac, nokia_rx51 and stemmy, disable ATAG support. A large number of platforms had enabled support but never supported a kernel so old as to require it. Further, some platforms are old enough to support both, but are well supported by devicetree booting, and have been for a number of years. This is because some of the ATAGs related functions have been re-used to provide the same kind of information, but for devicetree or just generally to inform the user. When needed still, rename these functions to get_board_revision() instead, to avoid conflicts. In other cases, these functions were simply unused, so drop them. 2021-06-08net: convert TFTP_TSIZE to proper Kconfig optionTero Kristo
TFTP transfer size can be used to re-size the TFTP progress bar on single line based on the server reported file size. The support for this has been around from 2019, but it was never converted to proper Kconfig. While adding this new Kconfig, enable it by default for OMAP2+ and K3 devices also. 2019-07-09at91, omap2plus: configs: migrate CONFIG_ENV_ to defconfigsMarkus Klotzbuecher
Enable the extended ENV options for AT91 and OMAP2PLUS in order to be able to use CONFIG_ENV_UBI_* on these architectures. As this change also makes the configs ENV_SIZE, ENV_SECT_SIZE, ENV_OFFSET visible to AT91 and OMAP2PLUS, migrate users of these to KConfig. This migration was run using an extended moveconfig.py which evaluates expressions such as "(512 << 10)". See patch ("moveconfig: expand simple expressions"). All modified boards were built with SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=0 before and after the change and successfully confirmed that the identical binary is generated (the only exception was igep00x0, which does not define CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI in the original board header. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2017-09-01configs: Migrate all of the existing USB symbols, except fastbootTom Rini
This syncs all of the currently Kconfig'd symbols out of the headers and into the defconfig files. This has two exceptions, first am335x_evm needs to be converted to DM in SPL and then it can stop undef'ing CONFIG_DM_USB. Leaving this as-is results in a build failure, and without work, run time failure. The other case is am43xx_evm.h and in turn am43xx_evm_usbhost_boot. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. The following options are migrated over fully now: - USB_EHCI_ATMEL - USB_EHCI_MARVELL - USB_EHCI_MX6 - USB_EHCI_MX7 - USB_EHCI_MSM - USB_EHCI_ZYNQ - USB_EHCI_GENERIC This also requires fixing the depends on USB_EHCI_MARVELL as it's used by Orion5X and Kirkwood as well.
