2023-05-31include: Remove unused header filesTom Rini
As part of various code clean-ups we have on occasion missed removing unused header files. None of these files are referenced anywhere else at this point. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2022-05-20ARM: imx: imx27: Introduce and use UART_BASE_ADDR(n)Marek Vasut
Introduce helper macro UART_BASE_ADDR(n), which returns Nth UART base address. Convert all board configurations to this new macro. This is the first step toward switching CONFIG_MXC_UART_BASE to Kconfig. This is a clean up, no functional change. The new macro contains compile-time test to verify N is in suitable range. The test works such that it multiplies constant N by constant double-negation of size of a non-empty structure, i.e. it multiplies constant N by constant 1 in each successful compilation case. The non-empty structure may contain C11 _Static_assert(), make use of this and place the kernel variant of static assert in there, so that it performs the compile-time check for N in the correct range. Note that it is not possible to directly use static_assert in compound statements, hence this convoluted construct. 2020-07-17treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelleMasahiro Yamada
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: <smpl> @@ typedef bd_t; @@ -bd_t +struct bd_info </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <[email protected]>
2020-05-18Use __ASSEMBLY__ as the assembly macrosSimon Glass
Some places use __ASSEMBLER__ instead which does not work since the Makefile does not define it. Fix them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <[email protected]>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <[email protected]>
2017-01-11mmc: move more driver config options to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Move (and rename) the following CONFIG options to Kconfig: CONFIG_DAVINCI_MMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_DAVINCI) CONFIG_OMAP_HSMMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_OMAP_HS) CONFIG_MXC_MMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_MXC) CONFIG_MXS_MMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_MXS) CONFIG_TEGRA_MMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_TEGRA) CONFIG_SUNXI_MMC (renamed to CONFIG_MMC_SUNXI) They are the same option names as used in Linux. This commit was created as follows: [1] Rename the options with the following command: find . -name .git -prune -o ! -path ./scripts/config_whitelist.txt \ -type f -print | xargs sed -i -e ' s/CONFIG_DAVINCI_MMC/CONFIG_MMC_DAVINCI/g s/CONFIG_OMAP_HSMMC/CONFIG_MMC_OMAP_HS/g s/CONFIG_MXC_MMC/CONFIG_MMC_MXC/g s/CONFIG_MXS_MMC/CONFIG_MMC_MXS/g s/CONFIG_TEGRA_MMC/CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_TEGRA/g s/CONFIG_SUNXI_MMC/CONFIG_MMC_SUNXI/g ' [2] Commit the changes [3] Create entries in driver/mmc/Kconfig. 2015-05-14imx: mx27 move GPIO_PORTx to gpio.hPeng Fan
These GPIO_PORTx macros should be in gpio.h, but not in imx-regs.h. Also, imx-regs.h and iomux-v3.h has same macro defintion for GPIO_PORTx, and both of them are included in mxc_i2c.c(include mxc_i2c.h). This will incur build warnings with macro redefinition. Since iomux-v3.h is not compatible with mx27, we can not simply include iomux-v3.h for mx27, so move the GPIO_PORTx to gpio.h to fix the build warning. Signed-off-by: Peng Fan <[email protected]>

2012-02-12mmc: access mxcmmc from mx31 boardsHelmut Raiger
This patch modifies mxcmmc.c to be used not only by i.MX27 but also by i.MX31 boards. Both use the same SD controller, but have different clock set-ups. The i.MX27 imx_get_XXXclock functions are made static to generic.c and a public mxc_get_clock() function is provided. Pins, base address and prototypes for an i.MX31 specific board_init_mmc() are provided. Some of the i.MX27 clock getters are unused and marked as such to avoid warnings (./MAKEALL -s mx27), but the code was left in for future use. 2011-12-06MX: serial_mxc: cleanup removing nasty #ifdefStefano Babic
The serial driver for iMX SOCs is continuosly changed if a new SOC or not yet used port is used. CONFIG_SYS_<SOC>_<UART Port> defines were used only to find the base address for the selected UART. Instead of that, move the base address to the board configuration file and drop all #ifdef from driver.
