Remove DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTR from files where gd is not used, and
drop the unnecessary inclusion of asm/global_data.h.
Headers should be included directly by the files that need them,
rather than indirectly via global_data.h.

When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay
Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and
so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master.
This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing
changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35.

Add a bootdev for SPI flash so that these devices can be used with
standard boot. It only supports loading a script.
Add a special case for the label, since we want to use "spi", not
"spi_flash".
Enable the new bootdev on sandbox.

Now, spi_flash_probe_bus_cs() relies on DT for spi speed and mode
and logically calls spi_get_bus_and_cs(). In case spi mode and speed are
not read from DT, make usage of spi_flash_probe() instead.
To sum-up:
- Previous call tree was:
spi_flash_probe() -> spi_flash_probe_bus_cs() -> spi_get_bus_and_cs()
- Current call tree is:
spi_flash_probe() -> _spi_get_bus_and_cs()
spi_flash_probe_bus_cs() -> spi_get_bus_and_cs()
This patch impacts the following :
- cmd/sf.c: if spi mode and/or speed is passed in argument of
do_spi_flash_probe(), call spi_flash_probe() otherwise call
spi_flash_probe_bus_cs().
- drivers/net/fm/fm.c: as by default spi speed and mode was set to
0 and a comment indicates that speed and mode are read from DT,
use spi_flash_probe_bus_cs().
- drivers/net/pfe_eth/pfe_firmware.c: spi speed and mode are not read
from DT by all platforms using this driver, so keep legacy and replace
spi_flash_probe_bus_cs() by spi_flash_probe();
- drivers/net/sni_netsec.c : spi speed and mode are not read from DT,
so replace spi_flash_probe_bus_cs() by spi_flash_probe().
- drivers/usb/gadget/max3420_udc.c: Can't find any platform which make
usage of this driver, nevertheless, keep legacy and replace
spi_get_bus_and_cs() by _spi_get_bus_and_cs().
- env/sf.c: a comment indicates that speed and mode are read
from DT. So use spi_flash_probe_bus_cs().

Move legacy spi_get_bus_and_cs() code to _spi_get_bus_and_cs().
Add new spi_get_bus_and_cs() implementation which rely on DT
for speed and mode and don't need any drv_name nor dev_name
parameters. This will prepare the ground for next patch.
Update all callers to use _spi_get_bus_and_cs() to keep the
same behavior.

This feature was dropped from U-Boot some time ago:
f12f96cfaf5 (sf: Drop spl_flash_get_sw_write_prot")
However, we do need a way to see if a flash device is write-protected,
since if it is, it may not be possible to write to do (i.e. failing to
write is expected).
I am not sure of the correct layer to implement this, so this patch is a
stab at it. If spi-flash makes sense then I will add to the 'sf' also.
Re the points mentioned in the removal commit:
1) This kind of requirement can be achieved using existing
flash operations and flash locking API calls instead of
making a separate flash API.
Which uclass is this?
2) Technically there is no real hardware user for this API to
use in the source tree.
I do want coral (at least) to support this.
3) Having a flash operations API for simple register read bits
also make difficult to extend the flash operations.
This new patch only mentions write-protect being on or off, rather than
the actual mechanism.
4) Instead of touching generic code, it is possible to have
this functionality inside spinor operations in the form of
flash hooks or fixups for associated flash chips.
That sounds to me like what drivers are for. But we still need some sort
of API for it to be accessible.

dfu_free_entities() invoking dfu_free_entity_sf() has let to segementation
faults due to double freeing the same device.
spi_flash_free() is not relevant for the driver model but exists only for
compatibility with old drivers.
We must not remove any device here:
* The device may still be referenced.
* We don't want to have to probe again.

Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding
another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header
files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few
cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so
remove that include.

The #define of one struct to another has been around for a while. It
confuses dtoc and makes it think that struct spi_flash does not exist.
Make a few changes to improve things while we wait for migration to be
completed:
- Move the 'struct spi_flash' to column 1 so dtoc scans it
- Remove the #define when compiling dt-platdata.c
- Update the strange mtd_get/set_of_node() functions
- Use struct spi_nor in the drivers, so dtoc sees the correct struct

This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense
since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now
used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces
verbosity and makes it easier to read.
Coincidentally it also ensures that every declaration is on one line,
thus making dtoc's job easier.

When using OF_PLATDATA, the bind process between devices and drivers
is performed trying to match compatible string with driver names.
However driver names are not strictly defined, and also there are different
names used when declaring a driver with U_BOOT_DRIVER, the name of the
symbol used in the linker list and the used in the struct driver_info.
In order to make things a bit more clear, rename the drivers names. This
will also help for further OF_PLATDATA improvements, such as checking
for valid driver names.

The get_sw_write_prot API is used to get the write-protected
bits of flash by reading the status register and other wards
it's API for reading register bits.
1) This kind of requirement can be achieved using existing

At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This
requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers.
One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in
U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox
which needs to use the system malloc() in some files.
Move the compatibility features into a separate header file.

At present there is only one control for this and it is used for both SPL
and TPL. But SPL might have a lot more space than TPL so the extra cost of
a full printf() might be acceptable.
Split the option into two, providing separate SPL and TPL controls. The
TPL setting defaults to the same as SPL.

It is useful to obtain the block-protect setting of the SPI flash, so we
know whether it is fully open or (perhaps partially) write-protected. Add
a method for this. Update the sandbox driver to process this operation and
add a test.

When SPI flash operations fail it is helpful to be able to see the error
codes and where they are generated. Add logging to capture this
information for read operations.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

This patch adds the flags parameter to device_remove() and changes all
calls to this function to provide the default value of DM_REMOVE_NORMAL
for "normal" device removal.
This is in preparation for the driver specific pre-OS (e.g. DMA
cancelling) remove support.

It is follow up patch based on
"dm: Add support for all targets which requires MANUAL_RELOC"
(sha1: 484fdf5ba058b07be5ca82763aa2b72063540ef3)
to update function pointers for DM.
Using post_bind is not ideal but it is one on current option what can be
used. Variable reloc_done has to be used do not call relocation after
every bind. Maybe new core functions should be introduced for this case.

Add a driver model uclass for SPI flash which supports the common
operations (read, write, erase). Since we must keep support for the
non-dm interface, some modification of the spi_flash header is required.
CONFIG_DM_SPI_FLASH is used to enable driver model for SPI flash.
